I love haunted houses... always have. Growing up, I was always intrigued by abandoned houses, and wanted to go inside (even if I was way to scared to ever do so)
I loved haunted houses so much, that when I had a family of my own, we would transform our small abode into a haunted house every Halloween. No matter the time, energy, or cost, we put on an amazing display. We were the place kids either loved... or hated. We had families as far as 20 km away come and see our creation. So, lets just say I know a thing or two about the subject.
Disney World's haunted mansion was probably the one attraction I was most excited about experiencing before my first trip around a decade ago. I honestly didn't know what to expect, and kept my hopes low. But, as always, Disney knocked it out of the park with one of the best ride experiences ever. If my memory serves me, we did the attraction 3 times in a row, and even went back another day.
If you are looking for extreme scares and chills, this isn't for you. If you're looking more for a PG-13 attraction for frights, this is definitely up your alley.
Now to convince Disney to send some imagineers to help transform my house this Halloween.... ;-)
